Internal Orders

Job Master job shop software also lets you create internal orders for parts to be produced for in-house use. This section is accessed by clicking on the Order Parts to Stock button on the main menu. Clicking on this button takes you to the following window which lists all of the internal orders as well as the parts within each:



Along the bottom of the window are the following buttons:
  • New: lets you create a new internal order.
  • Edit: lets you edit an existing internal order.
  • Revision: this lets you create a revision of an internal order. Making a revision lets you make changes to an internal order but it also leaves the original order unchanged.
  • Reproduce: this lets you create an exact copy of an existing internal order.
Here is the screen at which you enter the details for an internal order:



In this screen you enter which parts are on the internal order and which quantity you are ordering for each.

As the parts are manufactured, you can receive them into your inventory. Receiving them automatically updates your inventory levels with the quantity you received. To receive against an internal order, you just click on the Receive Stock button on the main menu which brings you to the following screen:



This screen lists all of the jobs from all of your internal orders

To receive a part for a job, just click on that job and then click on the Receive Qty button. Then, at this screen, enter the quantity you are receiving:



After you receive a quantity for a part, your inventory level for that part is automatically increased by the quantity you received.
