Requests for Bid

The Requests for Bid section is used to send requests for bids to vendors. You can search for a previously entered request for bid or create a new request for bid. Here is the window which lists all of the requests for bid currently in Job Master as well as the parts and materials within each one:



To create a new request for bid, you just click on the New button at the above window. This takes you to the following window where you can create the new request for bid:



The bid number is generated by Job Master for you when you create a new bid as is the date, line items are simply pulled off a list and then details can be added to each one.

A nice feature here is that it's very easy to send a bid to multiple vendors. To send a request for bid to multiple vendors all you do is click the box next to each vendor and when you print out the bid Job Master will print a bid for each selected vendor.

1. How does Job Master help with ordering new materials from vendors?
  When you need to reorder a particular material or item, Job Master allows an operator to create a Request for Bid that he/she can send out to a select group of your company's vendors. This can be done by selecting the REQ. FOR BID button, and then selecting the NEW button.
